G. W. "Rich" Richardson

G. W. (Rich) Richardson of Selmer, TN was born August 30, 1922 in Donie, TX the son of the late John W. and Emily Hancock Richardson. He was united in marriage to Jessie Ruth Garrett on October 10, 1967.

Mr. Richardson was retired from General Electric in Selmer where he worked in Quality Control. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening.

Rich departed this life on January 14, 2016 in Selmer at the age of 93 Years, 4 Months, 15 Days. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jessie Ruth Richardson of Selmer; a daughter, Kathy Fambrough and husband Keith of Orange City, FL; his grandson, Michael K. Congiardo and wife Wendy of Foley, AL; two nephews, Webb I. Bailey of Austin, TX, Steve Nichols and wife Bonnie of Oxford, MS, as well as a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Loyd Richardson; two sisters, Violet Bailey, Earle Bartee; three brothers, Eldon Richardson, Dink Richardson, Pat Richardson.
