Garcie Roberts was born on April 28, 1933, the son of the late Floyd and Mary Preston Roberts. He departed this life on February 19, 2017, at the age of 83 years, 9 months, and 22 days.
Garcie served his country in the United States Navy. He was self-employed at his construction company, Roberts' Siding. Garcie lived in California before moving to Hardin County, Tennessee. He attended the New Prospect Baptist Church in the community of Hooker's Bend. Garcie enjoyed spending time with his family and passing out scripture candies.
Garcie is survived by his sons, Robert Alen Roberts and wife Doris of Savannah, Tennessee and Garcie Jeremy Roberts of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Linda Paulette Black and husband Duane of Adamsville, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Sharee Thornberry of Santa Ana, California; sisters, Frances Lawson and husband Ed of Savannah, Tennessee and Emogene Adkins of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Winston Roberts and wife Brenda of Greenville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tammy Hollins and husband Jackie, Heath Gramse and wife Jenny, Trent Gramse and wife Brandy, Charles Bosman, Steve Bosman, Bobbie Jo Davis and husband Brian, Letisha Rene Stamp, and Leslie Ann Emison and huusband Jay; and great grandchildren, Michael, Olivia, Thomas, Justin, Haley, Colton, Cameron, Emily, Courtney, Kylie, Presley, Emily, Skyler, Grace, Destiny, Chloe, Denim, Lacie, and Brooklyn.
Along with his parents, Garcie was preceded in death by his stepmother, Myrtle Roberts; sisters, Ellawease Price and Peggy Jacobson; and brothers, Boe Roberts, Harold Roberts, and Herbert Roberts.
