Garrett Bass

Garrett Bass was born on April 6, 1993 in Smithfield, North Carolina, the son of Johnny Wayne Bass, Sr. and Ellen Denise Tart Bass.

Garrett worked for his family's business, Haulin Bass Pilot Service. He previously served on Hardin County Fire Department where he went through the junior program and served several years on District 1. He was a member of the Amateur Radio Club in Hardin County, Tennessee. Garrett also climbed commercial towers to help with services. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to go fishing and hunting with his family. He especially loved his two sons, Raylon and Maxler, and his dogs.

Garrett Bass departed this life on February 28, 2026 in Hardin County, Tennessee, at the age of 32 years, 10 months, and 22 days.

He is survived by his sons, Raylon Bass and Maxler Bass; parents, Johnny Wayne Bass, Sr. and Ellen Bass; sister, Amber Inman (Ronnie); brother, Johnny Wayne Bass, Jr.; nephew, Benson Inman; niece, Bella Bass; and a host of extended family and friends across the country.

Garrett was preceded in death by his daughter, Hannah Marie Bass.
