Garry T. Elliott was born October 28, 1945 in Corinth, MS the son of the late Charles Thomas and Velma Tacker Elliott.
He was united in marriage to Elaine Wilson on October 28, 1983.
Mr. Elliott had worked for Brown Shoe Company, McNairy County Co-op, and for many years a logger. He loved the log woods and would often stop in the middle of the road to look at a stand of timber. He retired from logging in 2006 and missed it everyday. He filled his spare time with fishing, raising fainting goats, and playing dominos or solitaire. He was affectionately known as "Papaw Goat Man."
Mr. Elliott departed this life on July 22, 2018 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 72 Years, 8 Months, 24 Days. He is survived by his wife, Elaine Elliott of Ramer, TN; daughter, Crystal Dawn Elliott of Selmer, TN; son, Randy Lynn Elliott and wife Bridget of Selmer, TN; stepdaughter, Kim Reynolds of Ramer, TN; stepson, Kevin Smith and wife Freda of Ramer, TN; half sister, Tammy Elliott of Selmer, TN; grandson, Landon Elliott; step grandchildren, Chris Reynolds, Cody Smith, Bart Gladish, Bret Gladish; step great grandchildren, Caden, Reese, and Brady Gladish, Greyson and Aubrey Reynolds; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Elliott was preceded in death by two brothers, Monty Elliott, David Elliott; a sister, Judy Carol Elliott.
