Gary Dale Horton

Mr. Gary Dale Horton was born May 2, 1951 in Florence, AL the son of the late James Paulk Horton and Faye Alma Park Horton. Mr. Horton worked in Security for TVA. He was a member of the Burns Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. He was united in marriage to Reva Sherrill Huskey on March 16, 2013. Mr. Horton departed this life on November 2, 2021 in Florence, Alabama at the age of 70 Years and 6 Months.

He is survived by his wife Reva "Tootsie" Sherrill Huskey Horton of Collinwood, TN; a daughter, Alma Quillen (Delbert) of Iron City, TN; a step-son, Keith Huskey (Misty); a step-daughter Kim Wallace (George) both of Collinwood, TN; a brother Jacky Lynn Horton (Angela Wright) of Florence, AL; two grandchildren, Terry Allen (Brandy) and Cody Long; nine step-grandchildren Ali Phillips (Dylan), Hannah Rogers (Eli), Elizabeth Huskey, Johnathan Quigley, Jamison Quigley, William Quillen (Abby), Monica Quillen, Holly Quillen, and Haley Quillen; four great grandchildren, Timothy Allen, Kimberly Allen, Jakob Allen, Aubree Allen; six step-great-grandchildren Phoenix Phillips, Lucian Phillips, Atlas Phillips, Will Quillen, Waylon Quillen, and Samuel Quillen. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Horton and Terry Horton and his former wife and mother of his daughter Alma, Carolyn Bradley Horton. He is also preceded in death by several Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood.

Services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Edward Burbank, Greg Eaton and Camryn Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Cromwell Crossroads Cemetery at Collinwood, Tennessee with full Military Honors. Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
