Gary C. King

Gary C. King, age 71, of Medon, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

The son of Curtis Owen King and Nelma Katheryn Goodman King, who preceded him in death, he was an instructor with the STAR center in Jackson, working with the disabled and their computer skills. He was born July 7, 1945 in the Teague Community and lived most all of his life in Hardeman and Madison Counties. He worked a drill press at Porter Cable for 12 years prior to his working at the STAR Center where he had been for 14 years. His hobbies included operating a HAM radio and listening to the University of Tennessee football games, which he loved. He was baptized during his time at the Donelson School for the Blind and was described by his family as a quiet but good person.

Survivors include his aunt, Clara King Leathers of Toone and several cousins.
