GENE DORAN
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 9, 1936 the son of the late Edgar Couch and Lillian Beatrice Hodge Doran.
On March 17, 1957 he was united in marriage to Nancy Powell, who survives.
Mr. Doran worked for Packaging Corporation of America for 30 years and was owner of Doran Furniture and Appliances for 7 years. He was a member of Wesley's Chapel United Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Doran enjoyed woodworking, antique cars, cattle and gardening.
He departed this life on April 13, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 4 days.
In addition to his wife, Nancy of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Gena Denise Doran of Hollytree, Alabama, Cindy Nannette Matlock of Savannah, Tennessee, Angie Renee Pitts of Savannah, Tennessee and Jeffery Gean Doran of Tallahassee, Florida
14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren
three sisters, Josephine Arnold of Decatur, Alabama, Geneva Smith of Savannah, Tennessee and Jeanette Hunter of Huntsville, Alabama
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Billy Doran
