Gene Paul Harris

Gene Paul Harris was born October 30, 1927 in McNairy County, Tennessee the son of the late Martin Arthur and Daphen Browder Harris.He was united in marriage to Dianne Sherron on September 29, 2008 in Florence, Alabama. Mr. Harris was a retired word processing clerk for International Harvestor. He was a member of the Fourth Street Church of Christ in Selmer, Tennessee. Mr. Harris was also a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Lion's Club.Mr. Harris departed this life on December 21, 2009 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 82 Years, 1 Month, 21 Days. He is survived by his wife Dianne (Sherron) Harris of Selmer, TN; mother-in-law, Annie Ruth Sweat; sisters-in-law, Dottie King and Rosie Salvucci; brother-in-law, Billy Sherron; nieces and nephews, Angela Griswell, Alicia Shaw, Wendy Akins, Regina Salvucci, B. J. Sherron, and Ricky Salvucci.In addition to his parents, Mr. Harris was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Virginia Harris, Norma Ruth Harris and a brother, Robert (Polk) Harris.The family of Mr. Harris would like to thank his caregivers, Novena Wyke, Bertha Williams, Janette McCoy, Myrtle Kirk and Shena Ervin.
