Mr. Thompson passed away Friday, January 9, 2015, at his home in Bolivar.
Born August 30, 1939 in Mt. Pleasant, TN, he was the son of F. J. and Louise Parsons Thompson. A Baptist in belief, he lived in Milan until moving to Hardeman County in 1987. He was married to his wife Brenda September 26, 1987. A self-employed truck driver, he was considered a work-a-holic although he enjoyed visiting Gatlinburg and Branson; and grilling. He especially enjoyed the company of his two special buddies Dusty and Charlie.
In addition to his wife Brenda, survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Paula and Bobby McGuire of Southaven, MS; a son Ricky Thompson of Medina; 2 stepsons and their wives, Steve and Tammy Sisco of Bolivar and Jeff and Serena Sisco of Milton, Florida; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his dogs (special buddies) Dusty and Charlie. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Margaret Johnson and a granddaughter Courtney Sisco.
The family requests that memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Courtney Sisco.
