Geneva Briley departed this life on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the age of 77 years, 8 months, and 10 days. She was born in Henderson County, Tennessee on June 22, 1939, the daughter of the late Coy and Pearl Johnson Swafford. On March 28, 1975, she was united in marriage to L.D. Briley, who survives.
Geneva was a Supervisor and sewing machine operator for Scotts Hill Leisure Wear, Decaturville Sportswear, and Garan Manufacturing. She was an excellent cook and ministered to others by making and delivering homemade cakes. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Nixon First Pentecostal Church.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, L.D. Briley of Crump, Tennessee; grandson, Duane Eliff and his wife Amber of Crump, Tennessee, great grandchildren, Briley Eliff and Brady Eliff; children, Delbert Briley and wife Jennifer of Puyallup, Washington, Lezlie Lambert and husband William of Iuka, Mississippi, Letha Haahr and husband Steve of Puyallup, Washington, and Larae Giuseffi and husband Joe of Puyallup, Washington; grandchildren, Denver Briley, Kylie Briley, Dylan Lancaster, Lynzie McKay, Leighann Williamson, Elizabeth Haahr, Trevor Haahr, Taylor Haahr, Amber Giuseffi, Joey Giuseffi, and Alyssa Giuseffi; great-grandchildren, Addyson McKay, Aiden McKay, Rhys Briley, Cooper Mendenhall, Benson Haahr, and Olivia Whaldherr; brother, Danny Swafford and wife Kay of Reagan, Tennessee; and sister, Juanita Davis Gillham of Crump, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Terecia Eliff.
