Geneva Etheridge Hosea-Kerr-Creekmore
On April 18, 2025 Geneva Etheridge Creekmore of Savannah, TN ended her earthly journey with us and moved on to her eternal home. Her parents, Fred Stephen and Wannette Bromley Hosea, are surely celebrating their family reunion after so many years apart.
Geneva was born on June 20, 1932. She had great love for the people in her life. Once you were a part of Geneva’s world, you weren’t just a friend, you were family. This showed in her work life as well as her personal life.
Geneva worked for and retired from Savannah Manufacturing. Geneva, being the loving person she was, decided to babysit as a way to connect with people, provide assistance, and share her love with the children she took care of. Affectionately called “NeNe” by the children she cared for, she loved each and every one of them as her own.
Throughout her time on Earth, she had many close relationships. She began building a beautiful life with a man named Andy Walker Kerr. Unfortunately, their journey together was ended on July 26, 1974 when Andy was called to Heaven. However, as time went on, she healed and met a man by the name of Howard Creekmore. They shared 31 wonderful years together before Howard, too, was called away.
Geneva shared her love for her Lord and Father with her church family at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. While she greatly appreciated her time with her brothers and sisters at church, she also shared her time on this earth with her actual brother Joyce Liniel Hosea and her sister-in-law Cora Hosea of Savannah, TN. She survived her brother Joyce but is survived by only her sister-in-law Cora, and several cousins.
While Geneva may be gone from this world, the impact she had on everyone around her will ripple throughout time. She will not be forgotten, but she will be missed. Be at peace and rest well, Geneva. Your real journey begins now.
