Genny Campbell Martin

 Crump, TN: Genny Sue Campbell Martin, age 77 passed away Friday evening July 5, 2024, at Regional One Memphis.

 Mrs. Martin was born in Prichard, MS and grew up at Enville, TN the daughter of the late Jesse Everett and Addie Mae Campbell. She attended schools at Enville and Henderson. She worked at Motorola in Chicago before moving to Milledgeville. She had also worked at HIS at Saltillo. She worked for several years as a cashier at Walmart in Savannah and Selmer, where she never met a stranger. She married Jim Martin in 2007and they made their home at Crump. Mr. Martin deceased in 2017. 

She loved gardening and flowers and especially enjoyed shopping for clothes and shoes and loved “putting the entire outfit together”. She and Mr. Martin enjoyed motorcycle riding. She was a member of the Enville Church of Christ.

She is survived by a sister Kaye Ritter of Enville, and nieces and nephews; Melinda Johnston, Melissa Holder (Ricky), Alicia Melton (Jared), and Jesse Pruett and several great nieces and nephews, and her longtime loving companion, Jimmy Ferguson of Selmer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a sister Nancy Campbell Pruett.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Shackelford Funeral Directors - East Main Chapel with Kevin Roeder officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Enville.

The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM service time on Saturday.

Mrs. Martin's burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery at Enville.
