George P. Bartlett

George P. Bartlett was born December 11, 1940 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of the late George T. and Gertrude Van Dyke Bartlett.He was united in marriage to Carol Bridger on June 30, 1961.Mr. Bartlett was retired from the City of Memphis, where he served as a firefighter for 15 years and spent 12 years as a police radio repairman. He was a HAM radio operator whose call letters were WB4MMI. Mr. Bartlett loved his family, his farm, and his horse, was an avid hunter, and was one who enjoyed solving problems. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Ramer, TN.Mr. Bartlett departed this life on August 15, 2011 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 8 Months, 4 Days. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol B. Bartlett of Ramer, TN; two daughters, Kathy (Bartlett) Parham and husband Ken of Ramer, TN and Andrea (Bartlett) McIntosh and husband Mark of Horn Lake, MS; five grandchildren: Zachary Martin, Sean McIntosh, Julie Martin, Jamie McIntosh, Kayley McIntosh; two half-brothers, Ted Bartlett, Robert (Bob) Bartlett; and many extended family and friends.
