George Bryan of Westpoint, TN passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at NHC HealthCare, Scott, Lawrenceburg, TN at the age of 81 years, 3 months, 2 days. He was retired from Chrysler Corporation of 31 years and was a member of the U. A. W. He was a son of the late Tommie and Artie Nelson Bryan.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ellen P. (Polly) West Bryan of Westpoint, TN; a son, Larry Bryan of Westpoint, TN; two daughters, Glenda Bryan Cornett and husband, Bill of Westpoint, TN, Sheryl Bryan Robertson and husband, Joel of Collinwood, TN; 9 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bryan was preceded in death by four brothers, Grady,Carl, Lester, and Raymond Bryan and a sister, Viola Lee.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Joel Robertson, Jacob Robertson, Bill Cornett, Joseph Cornett, Dustin Bryan, and Doug Bolitho.
