Mr. George Elton Harmon Bryant was born May 15, 1934 in Wayne County, Tennessee, the son of the late Guy and Pansy Hufford Bryant. He was united in marriage to Margaret Charlene Balentine on September 30, 1961. Mr. Bryant was a retired mechanic and served his country in the United States Army and he departed this life on Friday, August 16, 2019 in Waynesboro, Tennessee making his stay in this life some 85 Years, 3 Months and 1 Day.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Charlene Balentine Bryant of Waynesboro, TN; four sons, Terry Lynn Bryant of Waynesboro, TN, James Paul Bryant of Collinwood, TN, George Elton Bryant of Nashville, TN and Curtis Bryant of South Bend, IN; 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great-Grandchildren; three sisters, Ocelia Frick of Sacremento, CA, Susie Rochell of Macomb, MI and Brenda Nutt of Memphis, TN, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with John D Heard officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee in the Ovilla community with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County assisting the family
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2019 from 9:30 am until service time at 1:00 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Terry, Paul, Clint, Cody, George Elton and Curtis Bryant.
