GEORGE MOORE, JR.
Finger, TN: George Henry Moore, Jr. age 82, passed away February 5, 2018 at his home.
He was born January 6, 1936 in Memphis. He was raised by his parents Fred and Margaret Ruby Spain. He graduated from Treadwell High School in 1954. He married Margaret Joyce Hall December 3, 1955 and they have been married sixty-two years. He attended the University of Memphis studying Computer Science. They then moved to Maryland in 1966 to continue his studies at the University of Maryland. He worked at the National Institute of Health as a computer analyst. In 1971 they moved to Tehran, Iran and he worked for Computer Scientist Corporation until 1979 when he retired. They then bought a farm in Enville and he built his own home. He raised pigs and chickens for about ten years, and began gardening. He owned his own business in Henderson, PRN Data Systems for five years, retiring again in 1998.
He was a Shriner and financially supported their works for all of his adult life. He was a member of the Enville Methodist Church. He was a very kind, generous man but also very responsible. He loved his family dearly, and was a successful husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife Margaret Joyce Hall Moore of Finger; four daughters, Vicky Smith (David) of Jackson, Robbie Rood of Enville, Terri Randall of Jacksonville, FL and Staci Fesmire (Vince) of Jackson; five grandchildren, Charlie Kinser, Kellie Kinser, Kyle Rood, Kate Lee (Colton) and Stan Randall and great grandchildren, Gus Kinser, Carter Randall and Sophie Randall and a sister, Joyce Marie Spain Bowen of Memphis.
In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Enville Methodist Church.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
