George Maylon (Tom Cat) Taylor

George Maylon Taylor (Tom Cat) was born September 18,1956. George departed from this life on August 17, 2024 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. His youngest sister, Betty Lou Thompson, was by his side. Several of his other siblings had the opportunity to talk with George before he passed and I know this made George very happy.

George was born September 18,1956 in Somerville,Tennessee to Charles Maylon Taylor and Anne Lou Hayes Taylor. He attended Fayette County schools and was affectionately known as Tom Cat around Somerville. George was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Dana Gail Taylor. He leaves a daughter, Jennifer Taylor; four grandchildren: Jordan, Hannah, Journey, and Serenity; three sisters: Shirley Parker (Harvey Wayne), Lynda Billings (Solon), and Betty Thompson (Frank); and three brothers: Ricky (Millie), Carl, and Thomas “Pete” (Lisa Kay).

The family will have a Celebration of Life for George at a later date.
