Mr. George W. Williams, age 68, of Memphis, departed this life Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Methodist LeBonheur Hospital in Germantown.
A native of Memphis, he was born April 17, 1946 son of the late Carl and Helen Taylor Williams and lived all of his life in Memphis. He was retired as a land surveyor and was Baptist in belief. His family states that he loved to build things with his hands and help others, never saying no to anyone and that he dearly loved his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Hill Williams of Memphis; a daughter, Angela McCollum of Pineville, MO; a brother, Robert Mattingly of Raleigh, TN; two grandchildren, Scott Palmer and Warren Ingerscrool; and a great grandson, Drew Palmer.
