George Wilson III

George Wilson, III, 52, of Toone, departed this life Saturday, November 11, 2023.

He was born May 25, 1971, in Jackson, son of the late George Nathaniel  Wilson, I and Gwendolyn Jean Ivy Wilson, living most of his life in Hardeman County except for a few years in Chester County.  He worked as a truck driver for Craig Lowrence Lumber Company for 3-4 years and before that was a mechanic for the Hardeman-Fayette Farmers Co-Op.  He married Stephanie English on January 14, 1995.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.  He was well known as a jokester and loved hanging out with family and friends.

Survivors include his son, Ronald Wilson (Kylie) of Medon; two sisters, Martha Lowrence (Robbie) of Bethel Springs and Jennie Ervin (Paul) of Toone; and a grandchild, Elena Bryant.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, George Wilson, II and two sisters, Stella Warren and Joyce Ann Wilson Kiggins.  Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate).
