Georgia Teresa Churchwell

Georgia Teresa Churchwell, age 60, of Madison, TN was born February 25, 1957 in Cliftton, TN the daughter of the late James E. Churchwell, Sr. and Pauline Frances Clemons. Mrs. Churchwell departed this life on March 26, 2017 at Skyline Medical in Nashville, Tennessee. She formerly worked at Genesco and was a member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughters, Tonya Sutton of Old Hickory, TN, Renata Churchwell, Yolanda Woods, and Brandy Churchwell all of Nashville, TN,
14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, sisters, Bessie Witherspoon and Victoria Clemons both of Clifton, TN, brothers, Gregory Churchwell of Waynesboro, TN, James Churchwell Jr. and Rev. Frank Churchwell both of Sandusky, OH, Jessie Churchwell and Michael Churchwell both of Augusta, GA, aunts, Georgia Bailey of Terre Haute, IN and Jo Clemons of Clifton, TN, uncles, John Robert Clemons of Louisville, KY and Lindell Clemons of Milwaukee, WI. In addition to her parents, Mrs Churchwell was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Churchwell and Steven Churchwell, sister, Nancy Churchwell.

Services will be Monday, April 3, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Mt Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee, with Rev. Frank Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow in Lizard Glade Cemetery at Clifton, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.at the church.
