Mrs. Hensley died Friday night at Paris Manor Healthcare in Paris, TN, where she had lived the past eight years.
She was the daughter of the late James and Minnie Wallace Orman. On February 17, 1937, she married John Burton Hensley. Mr. Hensley died February 1, 1988 after 50 years of marriage. Mrs. Hensley lived in Saulsbury for 51 years before moving to Bolivar and then to Paris. She was a homemaker and member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
She leaves a daughter, Iva Smith of Paris, TN; a son, John Burton Hensley, Jr. of Saulsbury, TN; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Creasie; a granddaughter, Courtland Clayton; and a sister, Mary Lee Lumpkins.
