Georgia (Georgie) Morgan was born February 22, 1929 in Alcorn County, Mississippi the daughter of the late Alvin and Dora Mae Hardin Childers.
She was united in marriage to John R. Morgan on September 14, 1946. Mr. Morgan preceded her in death on March 6, 2008.
Mrs. Morgan was a retired seamstress from Corinth Manufacturing #3. She was a member of the Church of God of the Union Assembly in Corinth, Mississippi. She loved to go fishing, play the guitar, enjoyed cooking and gardening.
Mrs. Morgan departed this life on February 16, 2010 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 11 Months, 25 Days. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Geer and husband Bill of Corinth, MS, Brenda Morgan and husband Barry Bowen of Michie, TN; three sisters, Altha Robbins of WI, Dorothy Scott of Kenosha, WI, Sarah Anderson of Selmer, TN; three brothers, Odis Childers of Red Bay, AL, James Childers of WI, Milton Childers of Seattle, WA; five grandchildren, Stephanie Middleton, Tony Geer, Angela Gann, Briann Bowen, Michael Morgan; 9 Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Pace; a son, J. R. Morgan; two brothers, R.V. Childers, Alfred Childers; and an infant sibling.
