Georgia Reid

Mrs. Reid passed away Friday evening at Bolivar General Hospital.
She was the widow of Murley Reid who died in 1984. She was born to Burton and Beatrice Burgess Cooper, both of whom preceded her in death and was a life long resident of Hardeman County. She retired as a psychiatric aid from Western Mental Health Institute in 1987 after 17 years of employment. She was a Baptist in belief, and a previous member of Bethel Springs Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family and grandchildren, especially cooking for them and quilting.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Horn of Houston, Tex.; a son, Jerome Reid of Bolivar; a sister, Novice Yopp of Saulsbury; six grandchildren, Jerry Kirby of Albuquerque, NM, Tony Stout of Middleton, Brandon Reid of Houston, Tex., Seth Reid of Memphis, Ashley Buske of Olive Branch, MS and Reid Horn of Houston, Tex.; and four great grandchildren, Cody Stout, Brady and Julia Reid and Carson Buske. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Woods and a sister and two brothers.
