Georgia Fay Shelton

Georgia Fay Shelton was born October 8, 1934 in Henderson County, TN, the daughter of the late George Andrew Waller and Frances Mae Roy Waller. She departed this life on June 9, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 8 Months, 1 Day.

Georgia was united in marriage to James Troy Shelton on July 21, 1951 and were married for 68 years before his passing on November 3, 2019. She was a member of the West Shiloh Baptist Church in Stantonville, Tennessee.

She loved her family and cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, flowers and gardening, socializing and attending activities with her friends at Oakhaven Village apartments, working puzzles, and playing on her iPad.

She is survived by her children, Randy J. Shelton and wife Cheryl of Adamsville, TN, Regina K. Delozier and late husband Terry of Spearman, TX;  five grandchildren: Tony M. Smith, Brandy Salazar and husband Mario, Amber Luther, Sara Shelton, Anna Shelton; five great grandchildren: Marlee Smith, Kinlee Smith, Avren Delozier, Damian Salazar, Dominic Salazar; half siblings, Helen Dillon and Billy Joe Waller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Shelton was preceded in death by brother, Curtis Waller; and sister, Elsia Maddox. 

As we bid farewell to Georgia Shelton, let us hold onto the legacy of love and strength that she leaves behind. May her spirit continue to dwell within our hearts, guiding us with her gentle wisdom and unwavering love. Rest in peace, dear Georgia.
