Georgia Chandler White
was born in Ramer, Tennessee on February 9, 1941 the daughter of the late Horace and Roxie Robertson.
On January 9, 1963 she was united in marriage to Ronnie Roy White, who survives.
Mrs. White was a member of Love and Truth Church in Savannah, where she served as a door greeter and in the women's food ministry. She would make rice crispy treats for the youth group. She was a involved with the youth ministry at Agape Fellowship in Hudson, Illinois, the Bloomington Normals Girls Softball Association in Bloomington, Illinois, Quilting Club at Shiloh Methodist Church, Den Mother in Cub Scouts and a member of ALMA. She loved cooking, quilting, camping, gardening, water skiing, and NBA basketball, namely the Memphis Grizzlies. Mrs White had worked for Eureka Williams Company, Montgomery Ward and Hazy Hills Golf Course.
Mrs. White departed this life on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the age of 70 years and 4 months.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Ronnie White of Orlando, Florida; a daughter, Terry White Payne of Savannah, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren, Joshua Payne and Brittany Payne; a sister, Martha Nell Phillips and husband Brown of Shiloh, Tennessee; a very special friend, Frances Cupples Holland; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ed Chandler.
