Georgia Earlene Whitman

Mrs. Georgia Earlene Whitman, age 78 of Bolivar, passed from this life Thursday, July 16, 2009 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.She was born February 16, 1930 to the late Edd and Gracie Chandler Ervin in Hardeman County. She married her husband, S. L. Whitman, November 30, 1951 and was a homemaker. She lived all of her life in Hardeman County.In addition to her husband, she leaves as her survivors a son, Ronald Mathis and his wife Shirley of Denison, TX; a granddaughter, Jennifer Lahti and her husband Larry of Bolivar; two great-granddaughters, Brittany Mathis and Haylie Neal; a step great-granddaughter, Sarah Lahti; and a step great-grandson, Eddie Lahti.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Rickey Mathis; two brothers, Elbert Ervin and Curtis Ervin; and a sister, Gladys Ruth Ervin.
