GERALD LEE ALEXANDER
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 30, 1943 the son of the late Jodie Franklin and Trudie Ozenia Barton Alexander.
On August 18, 1966 he was united in marriage to Janice Ruth Anderson, who survives.
Gerald retired from the United States Air Force after serving his country for 20 years. He enjoyed working with electronics and loved animals of all types. Gerald especially enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He departed this life on December 26, 2017 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 74 years, 2 months and 26 days.
In addition to his wife, Janice of 51 years, he is survived by his three sons, Gary Alexander and his wife Debbie of Athens, Alabama, Steve Alexander and his wife Maggie of Jackson, Tennessee, and Jason Alexander and his wife Beth of Madison Heights, Virginia; four grandchildren, Ashley Collins, Jhona Alexander, Trinity Alexander, and Anderson Alexander; four step grandchildren, Matthew, Mayce, Michael, and Mason; one great grandchild, Sloan Collins; and one step great grandchild, Zander.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Franklin, Raymond, and Paul Alexander, and one sister, Angie Julian.
