Gerald Pierce

Gerald Pierce was born November 11, 1947, the son of the late Leonard Lee and Jessie Pearl Staggs Pierce. He departed this life Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at his home in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee at the age of 65 Years, 8 Months, 17 Days. He served his country in the United States Army and also worked as a forklift operator for Ozburn Hessey in Lawrenceburg, TN.

He is survived by mother of his children, Virginia Ann Moore Pierce of Lawrenceburg, TN, one daughter, Angela Pierce Whitman and husband Kevin of Covington, GA, one son, Jeff Pierce and wife Angela of Ramer, TN, two grandsons, Alex Whitman and Zach Pierce, one brother, Rufus Pierce and wife Pat of Lawrenceburg, TN, one sister in law, Wanda Pierce, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his younger brother, Douglas Neal Pierce.

Services will be Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 4:30 PM at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Casey Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Copeland Cemetery near Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.
