Gilbert S. Gallaher

Gilbert S. Gallaher was born March 19, 1932 in Wayne Co., Tennessee, the son of the late Joe and Laura Springer Gallaher. He was united in marriage to Doris Ann Clayton on October 8, 1950 and she preceded him in death on March 7, 2005.Mr. Gallaher was a retired factory worker and of the Baptist faith.He departed this life on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Wayne Medcial Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 77 Years, 8 Months, 2 Days.He is survived by two sons, Joe Charles Gallaher of Taylor, MI, Kevin Gerald Gallaher of Waynesboro, TN; a daughter, Vicky Joyce Adams of Taylor, MI; four grandchildren, Joe Charles Gallaher, Kyle Clayton Gallaher, James Gilbert Gallaher, Sarah Anne Adams; three brothers, J. C. Gallaher of Collinwood, TN, Lester Gallaher of Lawrenceburg, TN, Frank Gallaher of Waynesboro, TN; five sisters, Anna Lou Clayton of Goodlettsville, TN, Grace Hollis of Westpoint, TN, Edna Staggs of Waynesboro, TN, Carolyn Hampton and Helen Gipson both of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews; his fiance', Senia Skelton of Waynesboro, TN.Services will be Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Jeff Davis and Richard Rains officiating. Burial will follow in the Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Monday, November 23, 2009 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Skelton, Rodney Staggs, James Adams, Joey Gallaher, Terry Joe Hollis, Brett Gallaher.
