On October 18, 1925 she was united in marriage to Walker N. Bain, who preceded his wife in death on March 17, 1988.
Mamaw, as she was called by family and friends, was a gentle, loving person. She loved the Lord foremost, then her church, family and friends. A smile always on her face, Mamaw was a happy, joyful lady.
She worshiped and served the Lord at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church for 61 years where she was a charter member. Each summer Mamaw looked forward to working in Vacation Bible School serving wherever she was needed; usually serving kool-aid and cookies, making it fun for the children.
Her flowers were something she enjoyed. A garden was always planted in the summer and she preserved fruits and vegetables.
Mamaw's children and grandchildren were her delight. Whether it was making biscuits or baking tea cakes, she spent lots of precious time with them. She loved sharing stories and singing with the grandchildren.
She departed this life on February 24, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 104 years, 4 months and 3 days.
Mrs. Bain is survived by her son, Howard C. Bain and his wife Kathy of Savannah, Tennessee

Mamaw was blessed with 104 years to affect and influence the lives of her loved ones; she did just that. She left a legacy of love for the Lord, family and friends.
