Gladys Duren Martin

Services for Gladys Duren Martin, 88, Waynesboro, TN will be Monday, July 23, 2007 at 1 pm at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Waynesboro, with Ed Lopp and Carroll Littrell officiating. Burial will be in Griggs Cemetery, Waynesboro, with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 5 pm to 9 pm and Monday, July 23, 2007 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home. She died at Wayne County Nursing Home, Waynesboro, Friday, July 20, 2007.



Mrs. Martin, a native of Wayne County, TN, was a retired machine operator at Genesco Manufacturing and was a member of Ray’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by parents, George Clifford and Flora Scott Duren; husband, Alfred F. Martin; daughter, Carolyn Beckham; sons, Ray and Ralph Martin; grandsons, Brad Martin, Greg Beckham; sisters, Louise Staggs, Bernice Wooly; brothers, Claude, Floyd, Milton, and Jerry C. Duren.



Survivors, sons, Ricky (Melody) Martin, Randy (Janice) Martin, all of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Debbie Rogers, Nancy Porter, Jeff Beckham, Connie McLin, Java Hoseney, Cindy Hodum, Angie Rigdon, Billy Joe Martin, Amanda Moore, Thomas Still, Jamie Staggs, and Micky Martin; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, June (William) Perry, Savannah; nieces and nephews.
