GLADYS COTHREN TERRY
Henderson: Gladys Cothren Terry, age 92 passed away Saturday night, October 24, 2009 at the Chester County Health Care.
Mrs. Terry was born and reared in the Sweet Lips community of Chester County, daughter of the late Tom and Emma Cone Cothren. She went to school in the Sweet Lips area and in 1934 married Joe L.Terry. They made their home in the Sweet Lips community and in 1950 they moved to Henderson. Mrs. Terry started work at Salant and Salant, in Henderson, in 1945 and retired in 1981. She was a member of the Sweet Lips Baptist Church and had attend there since 1940.
She is survived by her daughter Regina Cupples (husband Tim), two sons Billy Don Terry of Henderson and Dennis Terry ( wife Stella ) of Henderson and a special son James Robert Terry (wife Phyllis) of Henderson and brother Raymond Cothren and a sister Ozell Culp both of Henderson. Seven grandchildren; Larry Wayne Hall, Scott Hall, Amy Jo Terry, Emily M. Terry, Donna Crotts, Cathy Terry, Thomas Wray Terry and nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe L. Terry in 1996, a granddaughter Brandy Cupples in 2006 and a brother James Cothren in 2007.
