Glen Cox
was born in Savannah, Tennessee on November 15, 1946 the son of the late Ben Noah and Ella Augusta Franklin Cox.
On April 2,1971 he was united in marriage to Susie Mae Kelley , who survives.
Mr. Cox worked for Rudy Farms, Jittney Jungle, Murray bicycle plant, Cox BBQ in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, Cut Timber, truck driver and Rogers Group Rock Crusher. Mr. Cox was a happy loving family man. He was always there for his family when they needed him. Mr. Cox was a member of the Second Creek Church of Christ.
Mr. Cox departed this life on July 4, 2012 at the age of 65 years, 7 months, 19 days.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by 1 son, Shannon Cox of Lutts, Tennessee; 2 daughters, Kathy and Jeanna Murphy both of Savannah, Tennessee; 1brother, James O. Cox of Florence, Alabama, 3 sisters, Maggie Nichols and Laverne Johnson both of Elkhart, Indiana; Shelia Cox of Savannah, Tennessee; 6 grandchildren, Brandy Miller, Cody Murphy, Danielle Murphy, Link Murphy, Katrina Murphy and Geanna Murphy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Lewis and Ella Newton Cox; Oscar and Alma Ford Franklin; 1 brother Charles Cox and 1 sister, Lessie Highland.
