Glen Albert Ledford

Mr. Ledford, 61 of Charlotte, passed away Sunday, September 19, 2010. He was born in Middleton, TN to the late Hazel Crum Ledford and Oner Dell Ledford.



Glen grew up in Strayhorn, MS and graduated from Coldwater High School in Coldwater, MS in 1968. He attended Northwest Mississippi Junior College and then joined the U. S. Army. His duty included performing Honor Guard at the White House and was stationed in Washington D. C. area. He received many honors and commendations as a member of the Third Infantry. Glen worked for Greyhound Lines Inc. for over 10 years and then worked for Wal-Mart for 16 years in Charlotte, NC. He loved the outdoors and all animals both domestic and wild. He was an avid fisherman of all types.



He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sadie Ledford Bradley. Surviving are his sisters, Odell Hardison, Senatobia, MS, Sue Williams of Sandy, UT, Nina Ledford Nair, Manor, TX; his brothers, Cleatus Ledford, Holly Lake Ranch, TX and Winston Ledford, Petal, MS. He is also survived by one uncle, Pete Ledford of Pontotoc, MS and a long list of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
