Glen Edward Robinson (Dado) was born on September 13, 1938, to the late J.B. and Inez Hames Robinson. On August 9, 1959, he was united in marriage to Emma Lois Burleson, who survives.
Glen accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in August 1961. God called him to preach the Word in September of 1971. He was licensed at Southside Baptist Church on October 31, 1971, and was ordained on March 25, 1972. He attended Beth Haven Bible College in Louisville, Kentucky and pastored Memorial Baptist Church and Bethlehem Baptist Church in Wayne County. He had the privilege of starting Grace Baptist Church in Collinwood; preaching in Kentucky and Indiana; being an interim pastor for churches in Wayne and Hardin County; and is a member of Sharon Baptist Church.
He greatly enjoyed karate until his health prevented it and received his brown belt at the age of 65. He served seven years in the Tennessee National Guard.
Glen departed this life on Thursday, September 28, 2017, at the age of 79 years and 15 days.
Glen is survived by his wife of 58 years, Emma Lois Robinson; son, Brian (Rita); daughter, Glenis Lowrance (Daryl); four grandchildren, Tyler Sanderson (Bridget), Blake Robinson (Tina) , Glennan Lowrance (Abby), and Mari Emma Lowrance; five great grandchildren, J.T. Robinson, Allison Robinson, Emmi Sanderson, Miranda Sanderson, and Caden Sanderson; two step grandchildren, Katie Thames and Sam Russell; and three step great grandchildren, Tristan, Noelle, and Millie.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Glen Edward, Jr.; one daughter, Sharon Sanderson; and one grandson, Scott Sanderson.
