Mrs. Whisenhunt passed away Wednesday morning, April 20, 2011 at Methodist Germantown Hospital.
A native of Denmark, TN, she was born May 30, 1942 to the late Raymond A. Collins and Wilma Emerson Collins and lived in Memphis. Mrs. Whisenhunt was a member of Leawood Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, David King and Gordon (Ann) Whisenhunt, III; a grandson, Kade Whisenhunt; a brother, James Collins; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William James Whisenhunt; a sister, Elaine Jewel; and a brother, Donald Ray Collins.
