Glenn Ray Card

GLENN RAY CARD, SR.

was born in Wheeler, Texas on June 24, 1944 the son of the late Thomas Evil and Alma Jo Seymour Card.

On January 16, 1963 he was united in marriage to Virginia Lee Fowler, who preceded her husband in death on November 3, 2003.

Mr. Card was a mechanic for Tom's Truck Stop in Milledgeville, Tennessee. He also worked for River City Concrete and El Paso Gas. Mr. Card was a member of Old Union Church. In his spare time he enjoyed farming, gardening, raising chickens and cooking.

He departed this life on May 10, 2017 in Memphis, Tennessee at the age of 72 years, 10 months and 16 days.

Mr. Card is survived by his three children, Alma Lee Mendez of Selmer, Tennessee, Glen Ray Card, Jr. of Morris Chapel, Tennessee and Benny Ray Card of Savannah, Tennessee.

nine grandchildren, Ginny Lee Martin, Rigo Cabrera, Tomas Cabrera, Hector Cardenas, Lupe Mendez, Alma Mendez, Maralie King, Kevin Card and Josea Cabrera

seven great grandchildren, Zoey Martin, Arianna Martin, Aiden Card, Emma King, Cruize Cabrera, Adrian Cabrera and Seleena Cabrera

three brothers, Jimmy Card of Chico, California, John Wayne Card of Sacramento, California and Junior Hoggatt of Orville, California

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Card and Cleason Hoggatt.
