Glenn Morris

September 18, 1934 — December 7, 2007

Mr. Morris passed away Friday at Baptist DeSoto Hospital. The husband of Jo Ann Hensley Morris, who survives, he was a retired shipping supervisor with Quebecor World Printing. He was born in Memphis, son of the late James Roy Morris and Jennie Dorris Morris and lived in Hickory Valley and Grand Junction from 1953-66 and in Southaven since then. He served in the Tennessee National Guard for eleven years and was a member and former deacon at Carriage Hills Baptist Church in Southaven.



In addition to his wife, whom he married on June 7, 1953, survivors include three sons, Walter Morris of Ft. Myers, Fla., Joey Morris of Southaven and Dr. Troy Morris of Olive Branch; a sister, Karen Newberry of Memphis and six grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David; four sisters, Helen Maddox, Hazel Hazlegrove, Beatrice Nabors and Geraldine Stroupe; and two brothers, Menville and Winfred Morris.
