Mahala Gloria Dean Davis

Mahala Gloria Dean Davis was born on December 31, 1942 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Willie Garfield and Roberta Mae Tucker Davis.

Ms. Davis worked for many years in the Deli at K-Mart. She was a member of Paducah Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Paducah, Kentucky. She was a wonderful mother, hard worker, and walked closely with God daily. She was kind to everyone and was loved by all who knew her as Ms. Gloria. She was formerly united in marriage to Jesse James Farris, Sr. and they shared 6 children together. She loved her family dearly and her children say their mother "taught us to love God and to love one another".

Mahala Gloria Dean Davis departed this life on June 28, 2025 in Spring Hill, Tennessee, at the age of 82 years, 5 months, and 28 days.

She is survived by her sons, Jesse J. Farris, Jr., Willie C. Farris, Sr. (Heather), Kurt L. Farris, and Percy P. Farris (Claudia); daughters, Cheryln Farris and Rosena Farris; brothers, Percy and Jimmy; sisters, Ann, Geraldine, Willie Mae, Wana, and Earnestine; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
