Gloria Lee Rather

Gloria Lee Rather was born November 19, 1929 in Oakland, California the daughter of the late Harry H. and Marguerite Annie Murphy McCarty.She was united in marriage to George Raymond Rather. Mr. Rather preceded her in death on February 14, 1971.Mrs. Rather was a homemaker . She was of the Baptist faith and a memeber of the AARP.Mrs. Rather departed this life on April 26, 2008 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 78 Years, 5 Months, 7 Days. She is survived by four daughters, Martha Nelson of Ramer, TN, Sandra Peterson of San Jacinto, CA, Marguerite Rather of San Ramon, CA, Brenda Mowery of Reno, NV; a son, Calvin Rather of Selmer, TN; a sister, Monty Morey of Sierra Vista, AZ; 11 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren.
