Gloria Faye Ross

Gloria Faye Harvey Ross, age 79 passed away Wednesday morning, December 3, 2014 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital, after a long illness.

She was born February 8, 1935 in Luray, TN the daughter of the late John Wallace and Annie Bell Adcock Harvey. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1954. She was united in marriage to Coy Ross on December 24, 1953. Mr. Ross preceded her in death on December 20, 1994. She worked at Burt Shultz, Salant & Salant, Chester County Sportswear and after retirement she babysat. She was a member of FCE Club, Unity Quilters, and a member of the Unity Baptist Church and had been a Bible Class teacher.

She is survived by two sons; Mike Ross and wife Betty of Beech Bluff, TN and Anthony Ross and wife Anita of Middlefork, TN; a brother, Bobby Harvey of Pickwick, TN; 8 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren, and a very special friend, Jean Tignor.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Ross was preceded in death by two brothers; Nelson Harvey and Norman Harvey.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Dr. James Huggins officiating. Burial will follow in the Unity Cemetery at Jacks Creek, Tennessee.
