Mr. Hudson passed Wednesday night, May 29, 2019, at Shelby Gardens Place in Memphis.
The widower of Edna J. Hudson, who died November 2, 2006, he was born in Bolivar and was the son of the late James William and Nora Melvina Barnes Hudson. He was a 1949 graduate of Bolivar Central High School and served in the U. S. Air Force in Korea. On May 2, 1952, he married the former Edna Jones. A member of Fisherville Baptist Church, Mr. Hudson worked as a check printer for Checks, Inc. and a driver for Trumbull Laboratories. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, campfires and airplanes.
Survivors include two daughters, Sheila (Darrel) Williams of Moscow, TN and Rita Stewart of Byhalia, MS; one sister, Bernell Jackson of Middleton; six grandchildren, Shane Williams, Megan Welborn, Rebecca Wise, Nora Cossitt, Lorin Hall and Lindsey Planty; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Golden Hudson, E. G. Briggs, Dale Briggs and Presley Hudson; and a sister, Dessie Majors.
