Goldie Dean Murphy Couch was born on October 19, 1941 in Savannah, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Arden B. Murphy, Sr. and Amy English Murphy.
On October 16, 1960, she was united in marriage to Glen Houston Couch, who preceded his wife in death on February 24, 2012.
Goldie Dean Murphy Couch departed this life on May 18, 2024 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 6 months, and 29 days.
She is survived by her sons, Ken Couch of Savannah, Tennessee and Jim Couch of Germantown, Tennessee; daughter, Judy Pitts of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, Faye Terry of Morris Chapel, Tennessee; brother, Jerry Murphy of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Tony Couch, Chris Couch, Shannon Edwards, Nic Couch, Shawn Mutters, Michael Mutters, Ashley Belk, Ryan Woodruff, and Peyton McLain; and 12 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Goldie was preceded in death by her sisters, Katherine Brown and Naomi Pevahouse and brothers, Loyd Murphy and Arden Murphy, Jr.
