GORDON WILLIAMSwas born in Greenfield, Tennessee on March 20, 1925 the son of the late James Cotton and Effie Overton Williams.On March 25, 1949 he was united in marriage to Betty Jo Robinson, who preceded her husband in death on September 29, 1997.Mr. Williams was a retired salesman for Milan Express. He was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Williams formerly lived in New Albany, Mississippi. He was a member of First Christian Church in Adamsville, Tennessee.Mr. Williams departed this life on September 22, 2011 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 86 years, 6 months and 2 days.He is survived by 2 sons, Cary Stanley Williams of Belden, Mississippi and Waymon Williams of Shiloh, Tennessee3 grandchildren, Elaina Steely, Dillon Scott Williams and Cary Stanley Williams, IIone step grandchild, Waylon Daniels2 great grandchildren, William Steely and Hannah SteelyIn addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Williams was also preceded in death by one sister, Thelma Trentham and one brother, Mark Williams.
