Annie Grace (McEarl) Moody
Annie Grace (McEarl) Moody, 88, of Sweet Lips, passed away Saturday morning, May 17, 2025 at her son’s residence. She was born August 12, 1936, in Chester County. As one of nine children she lived and was raised in the Sweet Lips Community.
She is survived by a son, Terry Randall Moody of Henderson; two grandsons Nicholas Moody (Lauren) and Michael Moody, and a great grandson Samuel Moody all of Henderson; three Brothers, Charles McEarl (Virginia) of Henderson, Roger McEarl of Lexington, Bobby McEarl (Sarah) of Henderson; three sisters Dorothy Anderson (Bob) of Lexington, Norma McPeake (Rick) of Lexington, Mitzi Crouse (Nickey) of Henderson, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents J. W. and Monty (Naylor) McEarl; sisters Johnnie Mae (McEarl) Russell and Patsy (McEarl) Collins and a daughter-in-law Deborah (Hearn) Moody.
She was Baptist in belief. She worked for twenty-one years in nursing home facilities and was a caretaker in people's homes for a number of years. She was the family historian and loved gardening, reading, and decorating for Christmas. In her later years she enjoyed putting jig-saw puzzles together. Most of all she loved spending time with family and friends.
The family would like to thank Legacy Hospice for their caring and compassionate work.
Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, at Old Friendship Cemetery with grandsons Nicholas Moody and Michael Moody officiating.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel from 9 AM until 11 AM Wednesday.
