Granville Sherman Marsh

Granville Sherman Marsh died December 27th, 2016 at his home in Selmer, Tennessee. He was the son of Dr. J. Joe Marsh, Jr. and Marcia Lee Sherman Marsh of Memphis, grandson of Dr. J. Joe Marsh, Sr. and Estelle Weiss Marsh of Sebring, Florida and grandson of Dr. Granville Sherman and Marcia Lee Smith Sherman, also of Memphis.

Sherman is survived by his brothers, J. Joe Marsh III of Spring, Texas, David H. Marsh of Collierville, Tennessee, and Dr. M. Lee Marsh of Issaquah, Washington.
He is also survived by his family and friends at McNairy County Developmental
Services, where he lived for approximately 40 years.

Sherman loved sitting on the front porch, going to Sonic for a hamburger, and going to get the mail each day. He had a prized watch collection and a collection of red hats. He also loved saying the Lord's Prayer to close out his Sunday School class time. Sherman will be missed by all his caregivers.

Sherman will be buried at Historic Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis. Memorials may be sent to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
