GREG MORRIS

Jackson, TN: Charles Gregory Morris age 67, passed away July 1, 2026, at Ascension St. Thomas Hospital West.

He was born February 12, 1959, in Henderson, the son of the late Glen Morris and Wanda G Matlock Morris Dotson. He grew up in the Mifflin Community of Chester County and was a 1977 graduate of Chester County High School.

He had worked for Jackson Utility Division, worked as a truck driver for a time and was Regional Manager for Rent-A-Center in the Jackson Area.

He retired due to health reasons in 2022.

He and his fiancée Karen Creasy have spent a beautiful life together since 2010.

He was a member of the Elks Lodge 192 in Jackson.

A member of the East Union Baptist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, riding horses and was UT Football fan. He loved hanging out with his friends and most especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Morris is survived by his fiancée, Karen June Higgins Creasy of Jackson; four children, Ashley White (Will) Beech Bluff, Josh Morris of Woodland, CA; Samantha Woods(Austin) of Oakland, TN and Hunter Creasy (Allison) of Jackson, TN; his step dad, Carl Dotson of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Zach Davis, Tucker White, Levi White, Jackson Morris, Hudson Creasy, Kenton Creasy, Deacon Creasy and Olivia Woods; a brother, Donald Morris (Phyllis) of Lexington; a sister, Stacey Davis of Henderson; a sister-in-law, Nancy Morris of Henderson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Glen Morris and Wanda Matlock Morris Dotson and a brother, David Morris.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday, July 7th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Glenn Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Mifflin Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM service time on Tuesday.
