Gus Cole of Waynesboro, TN was born March 27, 1935 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Calvin Bennett and Emma Ray Cole.
Mr. Cole was a commercial fisherman and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was a United States Navy veteran and enjoyed fishing, golfing and watching sports.
Mr. Cole departed this life on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 7 Months, 10 Days.
He is survived by a son, William Cole of Tarpon Springs, FL; daughters, Deborah Cole and Genevra Kelley both of St. Petersburg, FL and Lisa Manderscheid of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Virginia Manderscheid, Jessi Ann McCabe, Christopher Kelley, Brandon Kelley and Jonathan Jackson and a brother, Boyd Cole of Waynesboro, TN.
Services will be Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with H. H. Hurst officiating. Burial with military rites will follow in Gallaher Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2016 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
