Gus Willis, age 53, passed away Tuesday morning surrounded by his family.
He was born Estell Curtis Allen Willis (but had always gone by his nickname Gus) on November 11, 1971, in Jackson, TN son of Walter Burt and Esta Luella Strickland Willis.
Gus grew up in the Hilltop/Mifflin area of Chester County and attended Chester County schools.
He worked at Latham Dairy Farms, Spradlin Farming, Hilltop Repair, was a school bus driver, and worked in maintenance with Chester County Solid Waste, all while working in the family business Willis Deer Processing.
He loved motorcycles, race cars (especially drag racing and dirt car racing), go-cart flagging and anything that went fast. He also loved the outdoors, fishing, and four-wheeler riding.
He is survived by his wife Susan Willis; a son Elliot Debons and a daughter Dariyan Willis all of Texas; a grandchild Aiden Debons; parents Walter and Esta Luella Willis of Henderson; two sisters "Gator" Jones (Glen) and Debbie Mainord both of Henderson; as well as nieces and nephews.
He joins in death, two brothers Walter "Legs" Willis and Orval "Spud" Willis.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 19, 2025 at Shackelford Funeral Directors - Casy Chapel in Henderson with burial in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel on Thursday, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
