Guy Austin

Henderson, TN: Guy Ross Austin, age 80 passed away July 5, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.He was born and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Alton B. ParkerAustin and Willie Sue Ross Austin. He worked as a self employed painter and carpenter all of his life. He married Laverne Melton April 7, 1956. They made their home in Henderson. He was a member of the Henderson Elks Lodge. He loved to garden.He is survived by his wife, Laverne Melton Austin of Henderson; two daughters, Bricie Austin (Tim Mehr) of Luray and Marylin Webb (Curtis) of Henderson; three grandchildren, Dusty Webb, Brittany Webb and Holly Hornbeak and four great-grandchildren, Gracie Lott, Lyndsey Graves, Alexis Wicks and Madison Mehr; two brothers, Larry Austin and Jerry Lee Austin both of Henderson; two sisters, Imogene Coffman of Henderson and Christine Gray of Hickory Corner.He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Austin and Robert Ed Austin and four sisters, Sue Clayton Wilbanks, Helen Betts, Marie Cupples and Edith Thomas.
